Huehuetenango Coffee – High-Elevation Guatemalan Community Lot
Grown at 1,400–1,800 masl in the rugged mountains of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, this high-elevation specialty coffee delivers a vibrant regional profile. More than 600 smallholder families cultivate this coffee through El Guaya’b Asociación Civil (GUAYA’B), a cooperative committed to quality, sustainability, and community support.
Farmers receive micro-financing and technical assistance, including soil analysis and organic fertilizer training. Coffee cherries are processed at a centralized, environmentally responsible wet mill, where they are depulped, fermented for 36–48 hours, washed, density-sorted, and sun-dried to 11% moisture.
The result is a fully traceable community lot coffee that supports farmer livelihoods and delivers consistent, high-quality flavor.
